Adobe Animate

Generally:

  • To begin with, open Animate CC and pull down File / New.  Under the “General” tab, start with HTML5 or with Action Script 3.0.
  • Save as you go, and test your animation from time to time by pulling down Control / Test.
  • Once you finish your animation,  there are several export options.
    • Export to video gives you .mov files that can be loaded into YouTube or Vimeo.
    • Export to animated gif gives you .gif type files that can be placed directly on WordPress pages or posts.
    • Export to movie gives you .swf file for interactive buttons.
