There are several for YouTube and Vimeo and other video serving systems.<\/li>\n<li>Here we have selected YouTube 480 pixels but this is low res.\u00a0 You can select YouTube 1080 for higher resolution if you are using systems with moderate to high bandwidth.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) Select\u00a0 &#8220;Use Maximum Render Quality.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Name your file under Output Name.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Export button to create your file and save it in an easy to locate place on your computer, like your Desktop or Documents.<\/li>\n<li>For more information on formats, see this <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/youtube\/answer\/1722171?hl=en\">YouTube help page.\u00a0\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Next, log into your YouTube account.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the Upload icon (arrow pointing upward)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Select a file and click upload<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Select privacy settings and provide information about the video.<\/li>\n<li>Depending on the size of your file and your internet bandwidth, this may take at least a few minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Once the video is in place, look for the &#8220;Share&#8221; button on the lower right side underneath.\u00a0 There are two approaches.\n<ol>\n<li>One is the simple URL, which is just the &#8220;https:\/\/youtube.com\/yadayada&#8221;\u00a0 The problem with the simple URL is that you have no control over the size and location of your embedded vido.<\/li>\n<li>The other approach is to use html coding. The basics are not hard to learn.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><strong>With wordpress.com (free student accounts)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Start editing a new or existing page. Get a &#8220;new block&#8221; by clilcking\u00a0 on the cross inside the square.<\/li>\n<li>This &#8220;new block&#8221; function has lots of ways to insert images and galleries and video and audio files.\u00a0 Look for icons for &#8220;YouTube.<\/li>\n<li>Insert the URL from your YouTube share.<\/li>\n<li>If it&#8217;s working you should see your video on the page right away.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>With Bluehost, GoDaddy or other hosting accounts<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You may still need to embed using the &lt;iframe &#8230;&gt; tag.\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0To use the iframe tag, first click on Embed<\/li>\n<li>Copy the embed tags, which should look like this:\u00a0 \u00a0 <span style=\"color: #339966;\">&lt;iframe\u00a0 src=&#8221;<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M4pvm1W4070<\/span>&#8221; width=&#8221;<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">560<\/span>&#8221; height=&#8221;315&#8243; frameborder=&#8221;0&#8243; allowfullscreen=&#8221;allowfullscreen&#8221; <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">align=&#8221;right&#8221;<\/span>&gt;&lt;\/iframe&gt;\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Paste this into the &#8220;Text&#8221; or &#8220;Html&#8221; side of a WordPress document.<\/li>\n<li>You can change or add the sections in <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">red.<\/span> Remember there are spaces between the elements of the code. So right in front of <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">align=&#8221;right&#8221;<\/span> there is a space.<\/li>\n<li>To modify the size or placement of the video, edit the text in the embed tags.\u00a0 For example:\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0width=&#8221;560&#8243; can be changed to width=&#8221;480&#8243; or other sizes<\/li>\n<li>you can add\u00a0 align=&#8221;left&#8221; (or &#8220;right&#8221;) to have text wrap around your embedded video<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>So, for example,\u00a0 \u00a0the following raw video at COMM WEEK 2017 was shot and then uploaded to YouTube. Switchers, mixers and encoders are relatively cheap these days.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/formedia\/tools\/facebook-live\">Facebook<\/a> <\/strong>has made live streaming simple. Navigate to the page, group, profile or event where you want to publish your live stream. Then tap the Live button at the bottom of the post composer. Add a description to your video. You can also tag friends, check in to a location and add a feeling or activity. Tap Start Live Video, then tap Finish when you want to end.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/pricing\/zoom-contact-center?_ga=2.224771546.191812963.1647949637-1368279656.1642512604\">Zoom conferencing<\/a> <\/strong>software already is live streaming.\u00a0 Free livestreams are limited in time and bandwidth, and a paid individual account starts around $60 per year.\u00a0 The downside of zoom is that the audience also must have zoom software.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/enterprise\/stream-virtual-events\">Vimeo All in One<\/a> <\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0 \u00a0There are a number of serious challenges involved in scaling up an event from several dozen in a classroom-sized group to several hundred in a conference, and Vimeo&#8217;s idea with\u00a0 Virtual Events is to make it easier to handle these.\u00a0 They have a ticketing gateway (Eventbright or several others) and a way to display recorded and simultaneous livestreams from a multi-event conference.
