Skidmore said their 1968 song\u00a0 &#8220;Taurus&#8221; in 1968 was copied by Led Zepplin in the 1971 song &#8220;Stairway to Heaven.&#8221;\u00a0 (A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=deVNnnuf24w&amp;t=67s\">comparison of the two songs is available here\u00a0<\/a> and also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=deVNnnuf24w\">here<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/deVNnnuf24w\">also here.)<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">There are\u00a0 similarities between the two songs, and a jury found for Spirit in 2016. Harvard Law professor Lawrence Lessig makes this point in the 2007 TED video above.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p><h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Copyright enforcement\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The Copyright Office keeps records but is not charged with enforcing the law it administers. Copyright infringement is generally a civil matter, which the copyright owner must pursue in federal court.
