Getting the Story — International Center for Foreign Journalists 40 minute training video on basic reporting. Open the ICFJ Workbook as you go through the video and check to see if you could do the exercises.
(This video is one of the very best introductions to reporting because it takes us all the way through the process — from the reporter’s assignment through his work interviewing people, then writing the story, then editing and working with editors in the publication process. It was produced in an era before computers, so it has an older feel, but the process is still the same.)
